No similar links for me, but what is also interesting is that someone I'm totally disconnected from and will never ever meet can become as real as if they're the next door neighbour e.g. celebs, criminals etc. I can know more about them than half the people I've met in real life. Sometimes I think I HAVE met them and have to remind myself they're just media holograms.
I know what you mean, I wouldn't like to meet any of my sleb idols because I'm certain I'd get confused between who they are and the who I've constructed for them.
